Comprehensive Prenatal Care
Pregnancy Care Services
FULL-SERVICE MATERNITY CARE
Let’s start by making some assumptions:
Patient comes in at 6 weeks 0 Days and Delivers at 40 weeks 3 days. She has no complications and has indeed had the perfect pregnancy. (Of course, this has never been our patient, but we have to start somewhere.) There are many more labs that we do, but it is totally based on the need of the individual patient. Also, there are many more appointments if we encounter difficulties in the pregnancy. Many patients have to be seen twice per week and there are Neo-natal Stress Tests (NST) that have to be run as well as numerous types of ultrasounds. We even do IV Therapy if the mother is dehydrated rather than having to send her to the ER for IV fluids. This should give you enough information that you can extrapolate what you need. Keep in mind a normal OB Clinic would charge a flat fee for the 16 office visits and extra for any additional visits needed with an average cost in our area of $3,000 to $4,000. Then they would charge for the lab draws, for the labs to do the testing, for the ultrasounds, for someone to read the ultrasounds, and they would have to go to another location to get the other testing completed. MC does everything in house and for approximately $3,000, and it includes everything except the actual hospital delivery.
